Around the time I listened to Team Dresch every day, I discovered Le Tigre and Bikini Kill. I listened closely to the lyrics and certain ideas jumped out at me. I knew it was the same person singing for both bands, and whoever she was, I loved her. Then my parents told me there was an all-ages Le Tigre show in Philly, but it was going to be too crowded and not safe for me. So I emailed the band and they put us on the VIP list. We got to stand on the stage, and later I got to meet Kathleen Hanna. She gave me her personal email. I was six or seven, but she took me seriously and didn’t talk down to me. I still have so much love and respect for her.

no, seriously, this is really really sweet and awesome. I hope I get to meet her one day. She is just amazing.
